Mimi 李施

Inspired from a young age by art, film, and transformation through shows like Face Off, I developed a strong passion for creative expression and character design. This early fascination became the foundation of my career in makeup and special effects.

I began my formal training in Film and TV Makeup at Dongtian Styling School in Beijing (2013), later advancing my studies at the Vancouver Film School (2016). After several years of professional experience in China, I returned to Canada in 2019, where I am currently based in Toronto as a NABET 700-M UNIFOR Makeup Member and IATSE 873 Makeup Permit Holder.

During the pandemic, I expanded my creative scope by studying Interior Design at Sheridan College, gaining strong skills in design software and visual planning. Upon graduating in 2022, I joined DGC Ontario in the TAAD department, where I developed a deeper understanding of production coordination and cross-departmental communication.

My work bridges artistry and structure—combining the creativity of makeup and design with the precision of production workflow—to bring visual storytelling to life.
